Great Channels of Virginia

This 6x9 paperback book has 34 color photographs of the Great

Channels of Virginia area. The pictures are presented in portrait or

landscape orientation to maximize the size of the photo. Hope you

enjoy the photos as much as me! See the photos in the book here!

Photos were taken in the United States of America.

The Great Channels of Virginia was brought to my attention by the Atlas Obscura website.  Upon my 2nd try at getting up there (1st try ending in car sickness), I was successful.  It is a very interesting place.  It reminds me a bit of Rock City Gardens in Chattanooga, TN/GA.  See the photos below.  The info. I found on the internet says it about 3 miles of walking to get up.  The steady incline made me take 1:10 hrs to get there and only 40 mins to get down.   Being that it is listed on the Atlas Obscura website, you might think it is undiscovered - the parking lot was overflowing when I went, however and they ask you to come back later if there is no immediate parking.  For the directionally challenged, when you want to leave the slot canyon of boulders, head up hill and try to remember the route you came down.  I didn't have any trouble finding my way out using this guidance.

Hope you enjoyed the photos as much as me!
