Colonial Williamsburg at night

On a recent evening in June, I was fortunate to be in Williamsburg, VA.  Colonial Williamsburg is the largest living history museum I am aware of.  I walked the grounds until I had to leave for the night.  Below are the photos taken.

Took the photos using a Canon 60D with manual focus (autofocus inop.).  Managed to get a confirmed focus on all these photos except for the one noted.  When I bought the Canon, the Canons had the best focusing system available (to my knowledge).  Used a Tamron 17-50 unstabilized lens and took the photos in the F2.8->F3.2 range.  What I found is that taking photos "wide open" doesn't seem to blur the background out that much -probably because you can really see it clearly - its dark.    Took photos with high ISO (~3200).

Above photo, unconfirmed focus.

The above photo gets the dramatic, off white balance look from editing in Gimp.

Hope you enjoyed the photos!
